My name’s Joel Kirstein.  By day, I work in marketing.  After taking a career break in 2013/14 doing a ski season, I was inspired by some great chefs I worked with (credit to Tony and Dean).  So now, by weekend I like to make stuff in my kitchen.

The things I really like to make are sauces, jams, pickles, relishes and one of my favorites – infusions.

I’m by no means a chef, but I like to experiment.  I’ll be posting the results on this blog – Pan and Bottle.  I hope you enjoy them!
